Union: Russia to increase pork production by 6% in 2023

MOSCOW, Dec 6 (PRIME) -- Russia will increase pork production by 6% to 5.545 million tonnes and export supplies by about 100,000 tonnes up to record 260,000–270,000 tonnes in 2023, as seen by PRIME on Wednesday from the estimates of the National Union of Hog Breeders.

In 2024, the pork output may grow by 7% to 5.925 million tonnes, but in 2025 and 2026 the pace may slow down to 3% annually to 6.128 million tonnes and to 6.293 million tonnes, respectively. The share of the top 20 producers in total volume will be 78% in 2023 and 81% in the next years.
